Sarah Potrafke

Sarah Potrafke is a cultural mediator, dance educator, and performer with extensive experience in the fields of dance and music. She has worked in a range of cultural education settings, engaging with diverse groups. Her particular interests lie in questions of cultural participation and community building. In addition to her artistic and educational work, she has worked as a research assistant and project coordinator at the Institute for Cultural Policy and the Institute for Music and Musicology at the University of Hildesheim. Since 2024, Sarah has been leading „Move Your Kiez – Spandau”, a participatory dance project with young people in Spandau, initiated by the dance company Sasha Waltz & Guests (Department of Education and Community) and funded by the Berlin Senate as part of the „Jugendkulturinitiative”. She studied cultural mediation, cultural policy, and transformation in the context of the arts in Hildesheim and Marseille.
