Gemma Bolognesi is a PhD candidate in Museum Studies at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca and a Visiting PhD student at the Laboratory for Cognitive Research in Art History of the University of Wien. Her research focuses on participation in museums, tracing its historical roots and contemporary practices.She holds a degree in Art History from the University of Pisa, where she deepened her expertise in museum communication and cultural heritage education. Her academic path has been enriched by professional experiences in various Tuscan museums. She also serves as a subject expert in Museology and Art and Restoration Criticism at the University of Pisa.
