Pimsiri Aroonsri
Pimsiri Aroonsri is a human resource development scholar, a museum goer, and an instructional designer by training. Her research lies in the intersection of these three passions where she sees museums as a platform for public pedagogy and museum education as a policy advocacy tool. She believes that any government has a duty to educate and provide a lifelong learning culture for their citizen so that civic participation in policy decision increases. To fulfil this duty, a government can do so by embedding a low-pressure yet educational environment where citizens are encouraged to think about social, environmental, and political issues as well as potential solutions. Pimsiri Aroonsri is deeply committed to a mission to stimulate a vibrant citizen learning community through the use of interactive learning and museum exhibition design. She directed up to 15 interactive, participatory exhibition design projects in a range of topics related to development issues and climate action.
